the Secret Life of no:36
An exhibition of site responsive works by seven artists exploring the history, architecture and lives of past and present inhabitants of no36 Ashley Road (off Crouch Hill).Free Entry, Cafe, Garden.
Space36 is an occasional arts space in an inhabited house off Crouch Hill, 7 minutes walk from the Clock Tower.
Space36 is based at 36 Ashley Road, N19 3AF, whose residents have invited seven artists to spend four months rummaging through the house, its history and the lives of its past and present inhabitants to fill the space with their “take” on anything they find. The results will be on show over the weekends of 11/12 and 18/19 June in an exhibition called The Secret Life of no:36 .
During opening hours of the exhibition (12-6pm), Space36 will run a pop-up Garden Cafe with delicious home made teas to provide refreshments and a relaxed convivial atmosphere in which to view and discuss the art. Free entry. All welcome.
The artist taking part are: Roan Allen, Liz Brown, Esperanza Gomez Carrera, Stephanie Conway, Livia Garcia, Jeannette Abi Khalil, Ahmed Farooqui.
