There are lots of ways you can get involved – the festival is run entirely by volunteers. There’s a drop down form on here you can fill out if you’d like to register your details.
Amanda and Sophie organise the main stage
We need help beforehand giving out leaflets and helping with the print programme. On the two festival weekends there are endless jobs to help with, from helping out with the bands on Music Day, to putting up gazebos, manning our festival stall, and a host of other things that crop up each day. If you’re thinking about a job in event management, here’s the perfect chance to find out what it’s really like…
Or maybe you’d like to get involved by putting on an event. So if you’ve been thinking of putting on a play, organising a book reading in a cafe, running a children’s face-painting event, baking cakes for a food stall… er, you get the drift… just head over to our Event Application Form. We don’t ‘police’ what you do, it’s open to everyone, and up to you what you put on.
If you’d like to chat to the team about an idea you’ve had, come along to one of our meetings – our next one is on April 24th at Hornsey Town Hall at 6.45pm. There’s a Venue List on the menu too, with local shops, restaurants and more who are happy to have an event or exhibition on their premises. Don’t let that stop you from finding your own venue though!
Our print programme goes to print a couple of weeks before the festival
Crouch End Crouch End Festival and Crouch End Christmas Market are community based projects, both run by a small team of volunteers and funded by local businesses and people. The Christmas Fair brings together local craftspeople and musicians and brings cheer to the centre of Crouch End; the summer festival celebrates local creativity and culture across the Crouch End, Hornsey & N8 area. You’ll find film, animation, photography, art, poetry, spoken word, drama, dance, puppet theatre, comedy, music of every type and much more. There are workshops for adults and kids, plus local walks.
