Dowland in Libraries:  part of a series of FREE pop-up performances in libraries to introduce the lute songs of English composer John Dowland (1563–1626) and his contemporaries. As a quiet repertoire with a strong literary focus, lute songs are a perfect fit for libraries.

Roberta, Adrian and Wezi are members of Dowland Works, a kind of “musical club” with 21 members, mostly young professionals, directed by internationally renowned lute song exponents, soprano Emma Kirkby & lutenist Jacob Heringman.

This is a pre-festival event as part of the Stroud Green Festival 16-26 June & which includes a concert by 8 members of Dowland Works including Emma Kirkby and Jacob Heringman on Saturday 18 June at 8pm: find out more at www.stroudgreenfestival.org.uk
